Why is a Drug Screen Required for Receiving Suboxone Medications?

State and federal laws surrounding addiction treatment require regular drug screens to be performed to prescribe Suboxone. It is only with these regular drug screens your provider can monitor your Suboxone usage, as well as your avoidance of illicit substances.

Recovery Care uses confirmatory drug testing (lab-tested) at most appointments to ensure patients are receiving the highest level of care for their addiction treatment.

Great recovery means taking Suboxone exactly as prescribed by your doctor, as well as avoiding the use of any non-prescribed medications or other illicit substances.

The use of any substances, including THC, as well as other non-prescribed over-the-counter drugs like Kratom or tianeptine, should be reported to your Suboxone doctor immediately.

Always check with your Suboxone doctor before taking any medication, prescribed or not. Recovery Care will communicate with your primary care provider and/or other providers to ensure your treatment is not in conflict with any substances or items leading to possible drug interactions.
